As a gemstone buyer, I have bought a lot of stones in my 10+ years of experience around the world. This journey also means that I have parted with dozens of times that many gems without buying them. Then one day, I met a gemstone. It was a Mandarin garnet. The loose stone had a large crack inside that was visible to the naked eye. The cracks made the gemstone unique and enhanced the garnet's bright orange glow.
It was a piece that could never be sold to customers. But to me, it looked the most promising in the world. So, I secretly bought it and made a ring. Later on, something unexpected happened. People were as fascinated by its brilliance as I was. After a long journey, I realized there are no standards for the beauty of gemstones. BIZOUX VACANCES was born to celebrate the natural beauty of stones and humans.
私はビズーの宝石バイヤーとして、10年以上に渡り世界中で宝石を買い付けてきました。この経験は、数えきれないほど多くの宝石を買い付けた一方で、その何十倍もの宝石にお別れをしたことを意味します。物語の始まりは、そんな私がインドのジャイプールで、あるマンダリンガーネットに出会った時のこと。目の前に現れたルースには、中央に肉眼で見えるほどの、大きなクラックがありました。いつもは絶対に買うことがないピース。けれど、なぜかその一石に私の心は囚われました。大きなクラックは、むしろその宝石の存在を唯一無二ものしただけではなく、ガーネットが放つ鮮やかなオレンジの輝きを引き立てているようにも感じました。
私はそれをこっそり買って、リングに仕立てました。そしてその指輪を身につけていると、予想外のことが起きました。私がその宝石に惹かれたのと同じように、みんながそれを素敵だと言ってくれたのです。長い間世界を旅して私が気がついたのは、カラーストーンの美しさに基準などないということ。ビズー バカンスは、天然石と人間の、ありのままの美しさを讃えるシリーズです。
